RHODES
Rhodes
is the largest of the Dodecanese Islands and holds the record for sunshine
in Greece with daily temperatures averaging 71 degrees in October.
The terrain
of the island exhibits great variety, the coastline alternating between gentle
shores, with coarse sandy beaches and sheer rocky promontories and headlands.
Rhodes old town is magnificent - sheltered within sturdy medieval walls and the
old town is a treasury of ancient buildings, especially the14th Century Palace
of the Grand Masters.
